Gynecological Cancers
Everything You Need To Know About This
Gynecologic cancer refers to cancer that starts in a woman's reproductive organs. When cells grow and replicate improperly, they develop a lump in the organ, which is called cancer. It is always referred to by its original bodily location. Several gynaecological malignancies can affect a woman's pelvis, which includes the area below her stomach and between her hip bones.
Each type of gynecologic cancer has its own set of signs and symptoms, as well as its own set of risk factors (things that increase your chances of getting the disease) and preventative strategies. All women are at risk for gynecologic cancer, and the risk increases as women become older. The odds of survival are considerably boosted when gynecologic malignancies are found early.
